Her rich vocabulary and inspirational writing is breathtaking. She takes the reader through her thoughts about being deaf-blind, and explains how it is.

It would be fascinating if written by anyone. It demonstrates the brilliance of the human mind and language. How far it can reach even without sight or sound. I just read this to learn about Helen Keller's life, and I learned a LOT. How she learned to "see" and "hear" by using her mind and other senses was incredible. I am blown away by this book! To imagine that the beautiful and descriptive writing came from a person who lost her vision and hearing at 18 months old is simply mind blowing.

Her view of the world is fascinating and uplifting. I love it and even bought another copy for my son! If you're having a bad day you should read this book, and then compare literature review on purchase order processing misfortunes to her's, and realize that you literature review on purchase order processing no reason to be less optimistic than she is.

As for the book itself, she is an excellent writer. I was amazed at her ability to use that "show, don't tell" concept given her condition. A family member had this on her Amazon wish list. I trust she will enjoy it. One person found this helpful. An amazing read! Helen Keller had a masterful vocabulary and her perspective is something to behold.

The "entitled" generation should be forced to read this book. I highly recommend this book to everyone. This is just a fabulous book! It provides the reader with the innermost thoughts of a spectacular human being. God was merciful to Helen and provided her with superior intelligence which was a large factor in her ability to overcome her double dose of sensory disabilities. I recommend this very short book of essays to everyone!!

It's an interesting read but I personally found it hard work. Perhaps because it's written by a different generation living in a different world.

I still 'got' the message and appreciated the lessons that the story offers, I just found it a bit arduous but that has more to do with my personal reading preference and literature review on purchase order processing than the book itself. Amazing how she understands so much about Helps us to see how she 'sees' the world, even thought blind and deaf. A very intelligent lady. Amazing how she understands so much about this world, and even seems wiser than some people with sight and sound.
